I thought I’d once again share the lyrics of a song that I’ve found to be particularly meaningful and helpful in the midst of the storms that have been raging in my life lately. Perhaps the song will minister to someone else’s heart, as well.
Praise You in This Storm (lyrics)
I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (New King James Version)

That is an awesome song, thank you for sharing it. I loved Casting Crowns first album but hadn’t really listened to this one.
Thank you also for sharing about your personal journaling, I did the same thing many years ago and it kind of fell by the wayside but I may start again as I too have a few things to work through that I hadn’t realized until reading your last post. Things I thought I had forgiven but have crept back into my heart. God bless you for encouraging and sharing during such a difficult time in your own life.
Lisa
Thank you. And Amen.
Thanks a lot for this song, it might just have saved my life
